# Office Boy Helper

Office Boy Helper is a Claude skill for the small administrative chores that pile up around a team: ordering lunch, writing up the stand-up, settling who owes what after a group meal, and filling in the routine forms nobody enjoys. It's aimed at whoever ends up coordinating these things — an office manager, a team lead, or a rotating "person on duty" — and keeps the output polite, plain, and ready to paste into Slack or email.

## When to use it

- You need to send a lunch poll and then a consolidated order ("3 veg thali, 2 paneer wraps, 1 no-onion") to the restaurant.
- Stand-up ran long and you want a tidy summary grouped by person or by blocker.
- Six people split a 4,280 bill unevenly and you need a clean who-pays-whom breakdown.
- You're staring at a reimbursement or leave form and want a first draft filled from a few facts.

## What it does

Once installed, the skill activates from natural requests — no special syntax. It covers four jobs:

- **Drafting messages.** Produces short, courteous notes (order confirmations, reminders, follow-ups) and adapts tone for vendor vs. teammate.
- **Stand-up / meeting notes.** Takes raw notes or a transcript and returns a summary with Done / In-progress / Blockers sections, plus a list of action items with owners.
- **Expense splits.** Handles even splits, itemized splits, and uneven shares, then minimizes the number of transfers needed to settle up.
- **Form help.** Drafts field-by-field answers for common admin forms from the details you give.

## Example

```
curl -fsSL --create-dirs -o ~/.claude/skills/office-boy-helper/SKILL.md https://claudeskil.com/skills/office-boy-helper/SKILL.md
> Split a 4280 lunch bill across Asha, Ravi, Meera, and me.
  Meera only had the 380 salad; rest was shared evenly.
Office Boy Helper:
  Shared portion: 3900 / 4 = 975 each
  - Meera: 380 (her salad only, no shared)  -> wait, confirm: salad shared?
  Settle-up (you paid): Asha 975, Ravi 975, Meera 380 -> you collect 2330
```

## Tips & gotchas

- Give it the **payer** explicitly for expense splits, otherwise it assumes you paid and shows amounts owed *to you*.
- For stand-up summaries, paste names with the notes — it groups by owner and can't guess who said what otherwise.
- It drafts forms; it does not submit them. Always review dollar/date fields before sending anything to finance.
- Currency follows whatever symbol or code you use in the prompt; it won't convert rates unless asked.

## FAQ

**Does it send emails or place orders itself?**
No. It produces the text and the math. Sending, ordering, and submitting stay with you, so nothing leaves your hands by accident.

**Can it read a meeting transcript file?**
Yes — paste the transcript or point Claude at the file in your working directory, and it will summarize from that.

**How does it decide the settle-up transfers?**
It nets each person's balance and proposes the fewest payments that clear all debts, rather than everyone paying everyone.
