DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
ClaudeSkill respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains how to submit a notice of alleged copyright infringement under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and how the alleged infringer may respond with a counter-notice.
1. Where to send notices
Send written notices and counter-notices to our designated agent:
- Email (preferred): info@claudeskil.com
- Subject line: “DMCA Takedown Notice” or “DMCA Counter-Notice”.
Notices that do not substantially comply with the requirements below may be ignored or returned for clarification.
2. What a takedown notice must contain
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a valid notification must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the owner, or a person authorised to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material — at minimum, the URL on claudeskil.com.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you: full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
3. What we do with a valid notice
- Confirm receipt and assign a tracking ID.
- Promptly remove or disable access to the material identified in the notice and, where technically feasible, notify the user who posted it.
- Forward your notice (with personally identifying information redacted where possible) to the alleged infringer along with instructions for submitting a counter-notice.
- Maintain a record of repeat infringers and terminate accounts that accumulate multiple substantiated notices.
4. Submitting a counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or — if outside the United States — for any judicial district in which ClaudeSkill may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the original notice sender or its agent.
On receipt of a valid counter-notice we will forward it to the original sender. If they do not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.
5. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Do not submit a notice for material that is fair use or that you do not own.
6. Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of users who, in our reasonable judgement, are repeat infringers. We may also terminate accounts of users who repeatedly submit fraudulent notices.
7. Indexed open-source content
Many Skills surfaced on the Service are indexed from publicly accessible repositories. If you are the rights holder of such a repository and want it removed from our index, you can either submit a DMCA notice as above or — for the fastest response — email info@claudeskil.com from the email address listed on the repository's public profile.
8. Other intellectual property complaints
For trademark or other non-copyright IP complaints, email info@claudeskil.com with the URL of the disputed content and a description of your rights.
