Agent skills are SKILL.md files — a single-file open standard that teaches an AI coding agent (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, ChatGPT skills, Manus) how to do a specific job. Each skill is plain Markdown plus optional code. ClaudeSkill is the curated marketplace for them.

What's the difference between a Claude skill and an MCP server?
