Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding legal agreement between you (“you”) and ClaudeSkill (“ClaudeSkill”, “we”, “us”) governing access to and use of claudeskil.com and any related services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (13 in the United States, or older where required by local law) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” means both you and the organisation.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
  • Provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
  • Notify us immediately at info@claudeskil.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or any applicable law, with or without notice.

3. The Service

ClaudeSkill is an independent directory of Skills (instructional markdown files compatible with Claude and other AI agents) sourced from public repositories and user submissions. We provide search, discovery, ratings, and links to source code. We do not host the executable code of indexed Skills; installation typically occurs from the source repository.

4. User content

“User Content” means anything you submit to the Service, including Skills, profile data, reviews, comments, and bookmarks.

  • Ownership. You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • Licence to us. You grant ClaudeSkill a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and excerpting), create derivative works for indexing and previews, distribute, and publicly display the User Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for backups retained for a reasonable period and copies previously shared with third parties under your direction.
  • Representations. You represent that you own the User Content or have all rights necessary to grant the above licence, and that the content does not violate any law or third-party rights.
  • Open-source skills. Skills indexed from third-party repositories remain under their original licences. We display metadata, README excerpts, and links to the source. Always verify licensing before redistribution.

5. Acceptable use

Use of the Service is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. In short, you agree not to:

  • Submit malware, phishing payloads, exploit code packaged as a legitimate Skill, or any content that could harm users.
  • Submit content that infringes intellectual property, defames, harasses, threatens, or sexualises minors.
  • Scrape, mass-download, or otherwise abuse the Service's systems, APIs, or rate limits.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to derive source code, secrets, or credentials.
  • Misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person, or claim a false affiliation.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, including export-control and sanctions laws.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and original copy, is owned by ClaudeSkill or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted by implication.

ClaudeSkill is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, PBC. “Claude” is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC.

7. DMCA & copyright complaints

We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. To submit a notice or counter-notice, follow the procedure on our DMCA & Copyright page. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

8. Advertising

Parts of the Service display third-party advertising (Google AdSense and similar networks). We do not endorse advertised products, and ad placement is not a signal of Skill quality. Sponsored content, when present, is clearly labelled as such. Ad revenue funds the operation of the Service.

9. Third-party services

The Service links to and integrates with third-party services (including GitHub, Google, Vercel, Supabase, and Resend). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Skills displayed on the Service are produced by third parties. We do not audit Skills for security or correctness. Running code you did not write is inherently risky — review the source, license, and recent activity before installing any Skill.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CLAUDESKILL OR ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, THE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ClaudeSkill, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your User Content, (b) your use of or access to the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you becomes commercially unreasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4 — User Content, 6 — Intellectual property, 10 — Disclaimers, 11 — Limitation of liability, 12 — Indemnification, 14 — Governing law, 15 — Disputes) will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ClaudeSkill is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where local consumer law grants you stronger rights, those rights apply.

15. Disputes & informal resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at info@claudeskil.com. If we cannot resolve a claim within 60 days, either party may pursue formal proceedings. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least seven days before the effective date, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

17. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, DMCA, and any additional notices linked from the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
  • Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, network outages, denial-of-service attacks, or third-party service failures.
  • Notices. We may give notices via the Service or by email to the address associated with your account. You may give notices to us at info@claudeskil.com.
