Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, pixels, local storage) that ClaudeSkill uses, their purpose, and how you can manage them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. On each subsequent request to that website, the browser sends the cookie back, allowing the site to recognise your device. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are “first-party”; cookies set by another domain (e.g. an ad network or analytics provider) are “third-party”.
2. Categories we use
- Essential — strictly necessary for sign-in, security, and saving your consent choice. Cannot be disabled.
- Preferences — remember non-essential settings such as language and theme.
- Analytics — measure how the Service is used so we can improve discovery and search.
- Advertising — serve and measure ads. Used only where you have consented (EEA/UK/Brazil/etc.) or have not opted out (US states with opt-out rights).
3. Detailed cookie list
The list below covers the categories of cookies set on claudeskil.com. Specific names set by third parties may change as their products evolve — we update this list periodically.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Party | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token | Supabase authentication session and CSRF protection. | Session + 1 year (refresh) | First-party | essential |
| claudeskill_locale | Stores your selected language so the UI renders in it. | 1 year | First-party | preferences |
| claudeskill_theme | Stores your dark/light theme preference. | 1 year | First-party | preferences |
| claudeskill_consent | Records your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again on every page. | 6 months | First-party | essential |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregated traffic and engagement. | Up to 13 months | Third-party | analytics |
| __Secure-3PAPISID, NID, IDE, etc. | Google AdSense — serves and measures ads. Set only after you grant consent in regions that require it. | Up to 24 months | Third-party | advertising |
4. Managing cookies
4.1 In the Service
On your first visit (and any time you clear cookies) we display a consent banner where you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or open detailed controls. You can revisit these controls at any time by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
4.2 Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies from settings:
4.3 Third-party opt-outs
- Google ad personalisation: adssettings.google.com
- Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- EU Digital Advertising Alliance: youronlinechoices.eu
- US Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
4.4 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out of “sale” and “sharing” under California (CPRA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and similar US state laws.
5. Do Not Track
We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals where they map cleanly to a refusal of advertising and analytics cookies. Where the user agent does not transmit DNT, we rely on your explicit consent banner choice.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be communicated via the consent banner and via the homepage notice.
