Editorial policy

ClaudeSkill publishes three kinds of content: skills (SKILL.md files that teach Claude Code how to do a job), prompts (copy-paste templates with step-by-step instructions) and articles (guides to working with Claude Code and related tools). This page explains who is responsible for them, how they are made, what is checked, and how mistakes are fixed.

Who is responsible

Everything published under the ClaudeSkill name is published by CB Patel, who runs the site. Every article carries that byline, and any page on the site can be raised with CB Patel directly.

How content is made

  • Drafting. Skills, prompts and articles are drafted with the help of AI tools, including Claude. A draft is a starting point, not a finished page.
  • Editing. Before a piece is published it is edited for accuracy and usefulness: commands and file paths are checked, claims that cannot be backed up are removed, and material that only repeats another page is cut.
  • Skills. A skill must be a single, self-contained SKILL.md with a clear name and a description of when to use it. Its full text is shown on its page, so you can read exactly what it tells Claude before installing it. Install instructions use the skill folders Claude Code documents (~/.claude/skills/ and .claude/skills/).
  • The reviewed badge. A skill is marked as reviewed only after CB Patel has read the whole file end to end and checked it against Claude Code's documentation. Skills without the badge have been edited but not yet reviewed in full.

Sources

Statements about how Claude Code, skills and the Claude API behave follow Anthropic's official documentation at docs.claude.com. Where a behaviour is not documented, the page says so rather than guessing. Comparisons with other tools describe their public documentation and features at the time of writing.

What we do not publish

  • Invented numbers — download counts, star counts, ratings or usage figures that were not measured. Counts shown on the site (skills, prompts, articles) are taken from the catalogue itself.
  • Testimonials, reviews or quotes from people who did not give them.
  • Author names that do not belong to a real person, or credit to companies for work they did not do.
  • Claims of endorsement. ClaudeSkill is independent and is not run, endorsed or sponsored by Anthropic or by any company whose tools it covers.

Community submissions

Skills submitted through the submission form are reviewed before they appear. Review checks that the file is a working skill, that its description matches what it does, and that it does not instruct Claude to do anything harmful, such as exposing secrets or running destructive commands without asking. Submitters keep their license and are credited on the skill's page.

Corrections

If something on the site is wrong or out of date, please say so through the contact page. Confirmed errors are corrected on the page itself as soon as possible; a correction that changes what a reader should do (for example, a wrong install command) is fixed everywhere the same mistake appears.

Independence

ClaudeSkill is funded by paid coaching sessions and advertising. Neither affects which skills are listed or how they are described, and there are no paid placements in the catalogue.
